A journalist and filmmaker from New Orleans, Yasmeen is the creator of Together in the Eye: 20 Years Later. She served as executive producer, director, writer, editor, and interviewer, guiding the project from concept to completion. Yasmeen conducted interviews, gathered archival footage, secured permissions, and collaborated with musicians and cinematographers to tell a story of resilience and cultural memory. Through the documentary, she honors her family’s experience during Hurricane Katrina while capturing the enduring spirit of New Orleans communities.
